1. About Astro Reveal

Astro Reveal is operated by Astro Reveal Ltd, at the contact address below. These terms apply when you use our website and tool. Read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Billing Terms & Conditions.

Astro Reveal turns a finished astrophotograph into a reveal animation. It simulates a gradual buildup of detail; it does not recover original exposures, verify astronomical measurements or reconstruct your observing session.

2. Your photographs and results

You retain the rights you hold in your photographs and exported results. Only use images you own or have permission to process and share. You may use your exports commercially where you hold the necessary rights in the source image.

Editing and generating take place on your device. We do not claim ownership of your photographs or use them in our advertising without separate permission.

The optional “Share with Astro Reveal” form sends your finished reveal video to Astro Reveal for review. By giving the separate permission in that form, you grant Astro Reveal Ltd a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to feature that video across Astro Reveal’s social media accounts to promote your work, with your chosen credit. We may resize or crop it for the post. This does not allow us to sell your video, license it to other advertisers or use it in paid advertisements without asking again. You must have permission from every relevant rights holder. Submission does not guarantee a feature, and it is not required to use the tool.

You can withdraw permission using the submission control or by contacting support with your submission reference. We will stop future use and remove the video from posts we control as soon as reasonably practicable. We cannot recall copies or shares made by others. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful use.

Free results carry the “Made with astro-reveal.com” watermark. Keep the mark when sharing free results; Premium provides watermark-free exports.

3. Free use and Premium

Guests receive 2 generations in each seven-day allowance period. A free registered account receives 5 generations in each seven-day allowance period, one saved preset and remembered reveal settings. Both include Stacking reveal and Clean fade, with watermarked exports. The reset time appears in your account area. The free plan does not automatically become a paid subscription.

The Premium subscription provides 1,000 generations per calendar month, all six modes and watermark-free exports for the signed-in account holder. The allowance resets at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each month. Unused free or Premium generations do not carry forward.

A generation is allocated when Generate is authorised. Replay and export of an existing result use no further allowance. You can retry a failed or cancelled attempt with the same photograph and settings without another allocation while that authorised attempt remains available.

Premium’s monthly and yearly prices, renewal and cancellation arrangements are set out in the Billing Terms & Conditions.

4. Accounts and acceptable use

Keep your sign-in details secure and provide accurate account information. An account is for its account holder; it must not be resold or shared to provide paid access to other people.

Premium is limited to 1,000 generations per calendar month to discourage prohibited bots and bulk automated use, and to keep the service reliable for photographers. Once the allowance is used, new generations wait until the next monthly reset. Existing results can still be replayed and exported.

Do not use bots or scripts to generate in bulk, bypass account or generation limits, deliberately remove the free watermark, infringe another person’s rights, or interfere with the service. Staying below the allowance does not make prohibited automation acceptable.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to investigate misuse or protect the service. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and provide a way to challenge the decision. Consumer rights and any refund rights continue to apply.

5. Results and compatibility

The reveal finishes on your original photograph without added brightness or colour changes. Free results include a watermark. Export dimensions follow your selected settings; MP4 compression and playback software can introduce small differences.

Performance and export support depend on your device and browser. Try the free tool before subscribing. Download results you want to keep before closing the editor. Astro Reveal is not a photo or video backup service.

6. Our work and your legal rights

Astro Reveal’s protected source code, software, website design, branding, graphics and written content belong to Astro Reveal Ltd or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. All rights are reserved except for the permissions expressly granted here or by an applicable third-party licence.

We grant you permission to use the website and tool for their intended purpose under these terms. You must not copy, republish, redistribute, sell, sublicense or reuse our protected code or website materials, including to build or operate another website or service, without written permission. This does not prevent normal browser operation, your permitted use of your own exports, acts expressly allowed by law, or rights granted under third-party or open-source licences. Access to code through a browser is not permission to reuse it.

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights, liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

English law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, this does not remove mandatory protections or access to courts available in your country of residence.

7. Changes and availability

We may update the tool to improve it, fix faults, address security issues or comply with the law. We will explain material changes to a paid service or these terms in advance, with any applicable cancellation or refund rights. A price change does not increase the charge for a subscription period already paid for.

We aim to keep the service available, but maintenance or faults may cause interruptions. Contact support if a problem affects your paid access. The version date appears at the top of this page; your purchase confirmation records the terms of your subscription.
